I felt a lot of detail got lost in the original, small picture, so....I'm posting a huge version.
The story :
Not long after the total cataclysm that wiped out all the living things from the face of the Earth, the ashes and dust settled down and the sky cleared. A lonely figure is staggering down a burned street, finding her way through piles of twisted, charred metal and crumbled concrete. Tears in her only eye, she knows she will go mad.
...When she dug herself out from underneath the smoking ashes and rubble, she soon realised why noone had answered her calls for help. Everybody was dead. Now, when her blackened skin started to fall off, she got even a bigger surprise: she is not alive. She never was. She is a robot. An android true to a human in likeness and psyche. Noone ever told her she was not a human. And that she will live forever.
Disgustingly fantastic, that's it! The destruction of such massive scale would be no eye candy, but surely strangely fascinating. Thank you for the great comment!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
